About the PROJECT
A Glimpse into Shared Joy Across Continent
When we came to Russia, we realized that our countries have very different traditions, climates, and cultures. Additionally, many local students know almost nothing about our country Indonesia. that's when the idea came up to introduce Indonesia to Russian student with our own Traditional games.
In this project, We have chosen 3 games which is Marble relay (Race with Marbles on a spoon), blow a balloon (Make a bigger balloon without popping it), and jumping rope (Jumping with rubber robe to earn points) and invited Russian students to play with us. Now, To share the fun with everyone who couldn't participate, we have recorded this video in the website. and in the website we also revealed the world of traditional Indonesian games through an informative conversation with Muhammad Hafidz. This investigation, however, goes beyond the archipelago's bounds, smoothly blending into an exciting project involving Russian students. By embracing the social delight obtained from traditional games, our collaboration creates a sense of global harmony.

Discovering Shared Traditions: Marble Relay and Jump Rope Games
Bring a burst of colour to your home with our beautiful handmade planters
The discovery of shared traditions becomes a pivotal moment in our interaction. The marble relay, a popular game in Indonesia, resonates in Russia with the substitution of marbles for eggs and the use of larger spoons, often featured in Russian wedding festivities. The universal joy of jumping rope takes on a nuanced variant in Russia with a rectangular rope, involving more footwork and intricate tricks. This adds depth and highlights the multidimensional nature of these cultural connections.

This collaborative segment magnifies the universal language embedded in traditional games, connecting diverse cultures and creating shared experiences that transcend geographical boundaries. As the video concludes, it leaves an indelible mark, celebrating the unifying force found in the simplicity and joy of these age-old games, whether played in the vibrant archipelago of Indonesia or the vast expanse of Russia.
